Teaching Star Zhao Hui---Student-orientation and Continuous Learning

         Personal Introduction
Zhao Hui is an associate professor and master supervisor of School of Mathematics, Tianjin University which was selected to the Elite Scholar Program of Tianjin University. She participated in online course construction of Tianjin University about probability theory and mathematical statistics from 2016 to 2018; and presided over a project on reforming postgraduate courses in English from 2017 to 2018. She has won the second prize of the First Mathematics Microcourse Teaching Design Competition (North China Zone), the first prize of Science Group in Tianjin 14th Teaching Competition for Young Scholars in Colleges and she was honored as 2017 Tianjin University Advanced Young Faculty in Teaching and Educating.
 
Since 2011, Doctor Zhao has taught lots of courses such as Probability Theory, Mathematical Statistics, Microeconomics and Statistical Computing Practice for undergraduates of School of Mathematics; public courses Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics and Advanced mathematics for undergraduates; public course Applied Statistics and specialized course Financial Mathematics for postgraduates and Multivariate Statistical Analysis for doctoral student.
She made efforts to explain the boring mathematical concepts with network language in class or use examples that close to students’ lives in order to arouse their resonance for young teachers and students have similar ways of thinking and more common topics.
She has been constantly improving her ability of teaching and scientific researching and combining scientific research results with teaching, injecting new contents into classes while keeping her teaching enthusiasm.
She combines knowledge education with values shaping and ability training, integrating ideological and political education into the teaching of each course, and try her best to guide students to establish correct outlook on life and values. Not only to patiently answer each student's question related to his or her major, but to solve his or her puzzles encountered in their life. Many students consulted her about the career plan and professional choice for further education. According to the characteristics of students, she always helps them to analyze and make choices.
She is affirmed and loved by students with her good teaching work and responsibility. Many courses she taught has got high evaluations by students. From time to time, many graduates came back to school to talk with her about their development after graduation and many graduates also communicate with me through We-chat or email to share their recent life or work experience. Doctor Zhao said that it is her greatest achievement to see the students to lead a successful career and a happy life.
