In this minicourse, I will present a detailed proof of compactness and generic finiteness of free boundary minimal hypersurfaces with bounded index and volume. Such finiteness will also be applied to prove the density of free boundary minimal hypersurfaces in compact manifolds with boundary in the generic sense. Part of the work is joint with Q. Guang, X. Zhou and M. Li.
